We all give up something we love or cannot live without during the Lenten season. Things that I have given up [temporarily] include impulsive shopping, complaining, excessive sleeping, and of course, certain types of food: ice cream, chocolate, soda, etc. This season, I have given up STARCH, which includes: pasta, bread, rice, potatoes, oatmeal, anything flour or corn based. I knew it would be difficult but I really had no idea.
I am happy to be eating more greens + fruits, but I have increased my cheese intake by 110% and consuming at least 1 Cadbury egg daily!!!
3 more weeks til Easter…
Be thankful that you don’t already have
everything you desire. If you did, what would
there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations, because they
give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary,
because it means you’ve made a difference.
It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

I have been obsessing with these since Thanksgiving! So cute and so easy, anyone can make them! I used THIS recipe from Bakerella. I just added extra cookie crumbs on top. Please make them and give them to your friends, family, co-workers… and everyone who loves oreo cookies!
A typical morning for me would be getting up at 6:15a.m., getting to work early, so I can have breakfast there before starting my workday. I stock my break room with boxes of cereal and/or oatmeal, bananas, almond milk, and coffee. This is getting tiring.
I have recently inherited the ‘Bullet’, so I’ve decided to purΓ©e my breakfast. For the past 2 weeks, I have been making green smoothies that includes a banana, peaches, mangoes, and spinach. I love spinach. You can add it in any dish! I can eat spinach for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, everyday if I could! While I was doing research on spinach, I’ve discovered that too much spinach is bad for you. I always knew too much of anything is bad, but never thought that applied to spinach! If I want to continue my daily green smoothie, the answer is to just change up the greens!
